Commissioned by a private client, the eco house in York is the first of its kind in the city and one of only a few in the UK.

Style and efficiency

The design of the eco house combines energy efficient features and makes the most of the orientation of the plot. Solar power produces enough hot water year round for the family.

One of the special features of this new home is the Mechanical Ventilation Heat Exchange unit which provides filtered air perfect for allergy suffers. The system warms up fresh air coming in, so 80% of heat is retained.
